My Story …

The “C” in C.Rees Photography stands for Christine. I learned to take a good picture from the stacks of books collected on my bookshelves. With practice and lots of trial and error I discovered how to take a great portrait.

This is actually my second career. Believe it or not, I started out as a Lawyer. My time in the courtroom is one of the places I learned to appreciate a person’s life story.

The years I spent caring for my nieces and nephews, using my camera to capture their everyday lives and document their milestones, is where I learned to love telling a person’s story with pictures.

My favorite part of a photo shoot is the opportunity to share lots of laughs and make new friends.

I was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. Although I complain about the cold and dreary weather, that seems to lasts longer every year, I’m not likely to move because Ohio is the background to my story and home to my extended family. Currently, Akron, Ohio, is where I live with Tessa who is always willing to pose for a few test shots in exchange for her favorite dog treats.
